Shaking Beef

From Food and Wine. This turned out really well and I was a bit surprised. I made the marinade as stated and marinated the beef in the refrigerator for an hour. I used a 1 lb NY strip steak that I got for $3.97/pound on sale. I cut it into 1/2 inch cubes.

I made half the dressing for a salad with any ingredients I had on hand and tossed it with some iceberg lettuce that I had.

I added some veggies by stir-frying some green bell pepper and broccoli in the wok before the meat (I steamed the broccoli for 1.5 minutes in the microwave prior to adding to wok). Then I removed the veggies from the pan.

I added some vegetable oil and cooked the meat according to the recipe adding the extra marinade to the pan with the meat. It cooked fairly quickly and wasn’t too tough, which I appreciated.

I served with rice and the salad.
