Brisket was on sale at H-E-B so I got this 8.5 lb brisket for about $25. I kinda thought it would be fun to experiment cooking one. I used this recipe from food network. I doubled the rub recipe. I put the rub on and then put the brisket in my roasting pan on the grates with fat side up. I cooked it uncovered on 350 for 1 hour and then poured enough beef stock in the pan to get about an inch high and covered it really well with foil so the steam couldn’t escape and cooked it on 275 for quite a few hours (maybe 4). Overall it was pretty good. Maybe slightly tough but definitely edible!
