Andy and I wanted to have an All American night in honor of listening to the Brewers game and nearing July 4th. We decided to get NY Strip Steaks from HEB. They were on sale for $6.97/pound so we got 2 steaks that weighed a total of 1.33 pounds. I brushed them with olive oil and generously sprinkled kosher salt and pepper on both sides. Andy grilled them over high heat for about 7 minutes per side (next time maybe a minute shorter).

We also grilled zucchini, corn, and peaches. I brushed the zucchini with olive oil and sprinkled with rosemary, salt, and pepper. We soaked the corn for about 15 minutes before grilling it. HEB had the corn on sale 6 for $1…great deal! I brushed the peaches with a combination of melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla, and almond extract. See idea here: Grilled Peaches
