Desserts & Snacks

2/3 c butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups of flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon vanilla
1 12oz pkg of chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

1) Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9×13 baking pan.
2) Cream the butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and beat in well
3)Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Beating well
4) Add vanilla and mix in.
5) Stir in chocolate chips and chopped pecans and pour batter into prepared pan.
6) Bake for about 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Don’t overcook. Should be completely cooled to cut into squares or just before serving. (we always cut into it prior to it cooling; however, it is not as pretty but it’s delish hot!)
7) May be cut into squares
